About the lawsuit
US Bancorp and certain of its officers are alleged to have failed to disclose material information during the Class Period in violation of federal securities laws.
On July 28, 2022, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau fined the company $37.5 million for a number of unlawful acts and practices, including opening unauthorized accounts and unlawfully accessing customer credit reports and personal information Violating the Truth in Lending Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Truth in Saving Act and the Consumer Financial Protection Act.
On the news, US Bancorp shares fell about 4% to close at $46.12 per share.
