BANGOR, MAINE, Oct. 21, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Husson University is becoming a open house for interested high school students and their families Saturday 22 October 2022. The open day begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 2:00 p.m
“This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about Husson’s academic programs, our faculty, facilities, dorm life and campus life,” said Michael J. Fox, the university’s vice president of enrollment management. “Open houses are a great way for high school students to sample everything that Husson has to offer.”
Prospective students and their family members are asked to check in at 8:30am in the Darling Atrium of the Beardsley Meeting House (also known as the Gracie Theater Lobby). At 9:00 am, attendees will move into the Gracie Theater to hear some remarks from Fox.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from two Husson University students. Tyler Thompson is one of those students. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Human Movement Sciences. The other student is Carla Rodriguez, a dual major in Health Sciences/Pre-Med and Psychology.
At 10:00 am, high school students and their families will have the opportunity to attend academic information sessions where they can learn about some of Husson University’s majors. During these sessions, students get to know the friendly Husson faculty and staff who love to teach and help students navigate campus life.
At the end of these hour-long sessions, attendees can take a tour of the campus and attend an informational fair at the G. Peirce Webber Campus Center. During the tours, high school students and their families will learn about some of Husson’s state-of-the-art technology and facilities.
Following these events, Open House attendees will be treated to a complimentary lunch at the Dickerman Dining Center. Unlike other colleges and universities that use meal services, Husson offers…
