BARCELONA, October 20, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Grupo Bimbo, the world’s largest baking company, and FC Barcelona have signed an agreement making the global brand BIMBO®️ the club’s global partner and the main partner of the women’s first team. The strategic pillars of this alliance are the commitment to female talent and equality, the promotion of nutrition and a healthy lifestyle, and the promotion of young people. This is the first time the Mexican company has sponsored a women’s soccer team.
As part of the alliance, both organizations will work to positively impact society by promoting habits that help improve well-being and create a more sustainable environment.
The official presentation of the agreement took place on Wednesday at the Auditori de la Masia during an event July Guiu, Vice President of Marketing at FC Barcelona. Grupo Bimbo®️ was represented by Alberto LevyVice President of Global Marketing, and Pink alabau, Director of Sustainability at Bimbo Global Marketing. Barça first-team players Alexia Putellas, Jana Fernández and Salma Paralluelo were also present.
As part of the agreement, BIMBO®️ will not only be the club’s global partner and main partner of the women’s football team, but will also work with La Masia, FC Barcelona’s training center, to nurture new talent to become an international benchmark in sport and human education , as well as the Barça Academy, the club’s international school project.
