
Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture calls for “proposals from non-profit marketing and advertising organizations for projects to increase sales, exports or consumer awareness” from the state hemp productsaccording to an official statement.
Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding said the department “plans to allocate $200,000 in matched funding to reimburse up to half of project costs, with a minimum grant amount of $1,000.”

“Hemp has presented a unique opportunity to build an industry from the ground up and provide seemingly limitless sustainable building materials, fiber and food products,” said Redding.
“These grants will feed a new industry that was once a mainstay of Pennsylvania’s economy and is reemerging Opportunities for agricultural income and jobs as well as new opportunities for climate-friendlyenvironmentally friendly products.”
The department will give special consideration to projects using other funds and public-private partnerships. Eligible projects may include regional or national funding.
“Projects must begin on July 1, 2022 and be completed by June 30, 2023,” the announcement said. The application period ends on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. You can find the complete funding guidelines HERE.
Product promotion, education and exports for hemp
According to a notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin, the Pennsylvania Agricultural Hemp Promotion, Education and Export Promotion Matching Grant Program aims to:
