The spokeswoman says, “If he comes, I’ll hit him,” after seeing coverage of a Trump rally at the Ellipse, where he says he’s going to the Capitol.
“This is what I’ve been waiting for because I entered the Capitol grounds. I’ll hit him and I’ll go to jail and I’ll be happy,” Pelosi said.

Pelosi previously responded to Trump’s intent to go to the Capitol by saying, “Tell him when he comes over here, we’re going to the White House.”
Why it matters: On Thursday, the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 riots voted unanimously to subpoena Trump.
Vice Committee Chairman Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) said, “None of this would have happened without it [Trump]. He was personally and significantly involved in all of this.”
Meanwhile, Trump slammed Pelosi and the Committee on Truth Social. The former president questioned why Pelosi hadn’t called the “troops” before Jan. 6, which he “strongly recommended.”
The former leader also questioned why the committee didn’t ask him for a statement months ago and why “they waited until the end”.
