SAN MATEO, Calif. and CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Oct. 12, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Kronos Bio, Inc. CROWN, a company dedicated to improving the lives of cancer patients, today announced that it will be presenting preclinical data on a poster at the EORTC-NCI-AACR Symposium on Molecular Targets and Cancer Therapeutics in Barcelona, Spain. The meeting will take place on October 26-28, 2022.
The poster will include preclinical data showing that Kronos Bio’s internally discovered oral CDK9 inhibitor KB-0742 induced regressions in a preclinical model of MYCN-amplified neuroblastoma tumors and inhibited growth in patient-derived xenograft (PDX) models of transcription-dependent Ewing’s sarcoma (EW) and alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma (ARMS).
This is the first preclinical analysis supporting the investigational drug’s potential in pediatric tumors. KB-0742 is being developed to treat MY C-amplified and transcription-dependent solid tumors and is currently being evaluated in an ongoing phase 1/2 study. Kronos Bio remains on track to provide an update on the study, including the recommended phase 2 dose (RP2D), in Q4.
The summary is now available on the conference website. Details of the poster presentation are as follows:

About KB-0742
KB-0742 is a highly selective, orally bioavailable cyclin-dependent kinase 9 (CDK9) inhibitor developed for the treatment of MY C-amplified solid tumors. CDK9 is a global transcriptional regulator and plays an essential role in both the expression and function of MYC, a well-characterized transcription factor and a long-recognized driver of cancer that is amplified in approximately 30% of solid tumors, including those that the lungs, ovaries and breast. KB-0742 was generated and optimized from a…
