Putin takes Crimea bridge explosion personally, says UK – Press Release

On Saturday, an explosion damaged the Kerch Bridge, which connects Russia and Russia the Crimean peninsula paralyzes the critics Supply route for Russian forces in Ukraine.

The 12-mile Kerch Bridge now appears operational and traffic has been restricted on this stretch.

Meanwhile, England’s Ministry of Defense said that Putin is personally affected by the bridge damage, and somehow this underscores his failure to gain complete control of Ukraine.

Russia seized Crimea from Ukraine in 2014, and in 2018 Putin opened the bridge by driving a Kamaz truck at the head of a motorcade along its span.

The ministry tweeted that the incident would likely affect President Putin deeply, as it came hours after his 70th birthday and coincided with Russia’s third senior military appointment in a week.

It also mentioned that “any serious disruption to its capacity will most likely have a significant impact on Russia’s already strained ability to maintain its forces in southern Ukraine.”

Ukraine has officially not taken responsibility for the damage caused to the bridge. However, the Russian Foreign Ministry tweeted a video showing the normal operation of the bridge.
