- Amazon has also announced it will offer deals in all of its top categories, including electronics, fashion, home, kitchen, pets, toys, and Amazon gadgets.
- Considering that Walmart’s sales event starts a day before Amazon’s, the company tries to reach customers first before Amazon’s event starts.
- And since it ends a day after the Prime Early Access Sale, people who missed Amazon’s event can still shop for Walmart’s deals.
- When Amazon hosted its annual Prime Day sale in July, Walmart responded with its own sale event that sidestepped flashy marketing and a short-term sale event with big discounts for shoppers who wanted it hit his stores.
- Online shopping, which has surged amid the pandemic as indoor activity has been restricted, has seen a sharp correction following the recovery, further accelerated by rising inflation.
- Price promotion: WMT shares closed 0.99% lower at $132.92 on Wednesday.
