LOUIS, Oct. 05, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Ungerboeck, the global leader in events and venue management software, is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Mackenzie as Chief Innovation Officer. In this newly created position, Mackenzie will drive Ungerboeck’s innovation pipeline and build on the company’s rich history of developing the world’s best and most versatile event management solutions. Mackenzie will also lead Ungerboeck’s newly formed Worldwide Innovation Lab, which is focused on developing next-generation event management capabilities.
Mackenzie brings decades of industry experience to this role; Most recently, he was Executive Vice President at Ungerboeck following its recently announced merger with EventBooking, where he served as President. Previously, Mackenzie held leadership positions in event tech companies such as Oracle (Micros-Fidelio) and Aventri (Etouches). Mackenzie is a Certified Venue Executive, serves as an Associate Professor of Event Technology Management at Florida International University, and received the Outstanding Contribution Award at the 2022 Event Tech Live Awards and was inducted into their Hall of Fame. For the past 20+ years, Mackenzie has spoken in over 25 countries on industry-related topics with a focus on technology.
