
US stocks closed lower on Thursday, with the Nasdaq Composite falling on a gain of more than 300 points Amazon.com, Inc. AMZN and apple inc AAPL shares.

- Personal Income and Expense data for August will be released at 8:30 am ET. Personal income is expected to rise 0.3% in August, while personal consumption spending is likely to rise 0.2%.
- Federal Reserve Vice Chair Lael Brainard will speak at 9:00 a.m. ET.
- The Chicago PMI for September is scheduled to be released at 9:45 am ET. Chicago PMI is expected to ease slightly to 52.0 in September from 52.2 in August.
- The University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index for September is released at 10:00 am ET. The final reading for September consumer confidence is expected to be unchanged from the flash level of 59.5.
- Federal Reserve Governor Michelle Bowman will speak at 11:00 a.m. ET.
- Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond President Thomas Barkin will speak at 12:30 p.m. ET.
- Baker Hughes’ North American rig report for the last week is scheduled for release at 1:00 PM ET.
- August farm price data will be released at 15:00 ET.
- Federal Reserve Bank of New York President John Williams will speak at 4:15 p.m. ET.
