- Aquestive Therapeutics Inc AQST entered a License and Supply Agreement with Pharmanovia for Libervant (diazepam) buccal film in the European Union, United Kingdom, Switzerland and Norway and in countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
- Libervant is used to treat seizures of any age, whether they are ongoing or acute.
- “Libervant has the distinct advantage of being easily administered when needed without regard to diet, which is critical for patients because rapid and comprehensive drug absorption is critical in a rescue situation,” said Daniel Barber, CEO of Aquestive.

- “As we continue to work with the FDA for Libervant’s US market access, we are delighted to be working with a company that shares our vision,” added Barber.
- Under the terms of the agreement, Aquestive will act as the exclusive sole manufacturer and supplier of the product and Pharmanovia will be responsible for all regulatory and commercialization activities.
- Aquestive will receive an undisclosed upfront payment and, if approved, milestone payments and double-digit royalties on net sales of diazepam buccal film in the licensed territories.
