
US stocks were trading lower this morning, with the Dow Jones down around 100 points on Thursday.
After Thursday’s market open, the Dow fell 0.32% to 30,088.03, while the NASDAQ fell 0.89% to 11,120.70. The S&P 500 was also down 0.57% to 3,768.14.

Leading and lagging sectors
Energy stocks rose 0.5% on Thursday. Meanwhile top winner in the sector included BP Prudhoe Bay Royalty Trust BPTup to 3% and PBF Energy Inc. PBF increased by 6%.
Trading on Thursday, consumer discretionary stocks fell 1.5%.

Initial jobless claims in the US rose 5,000 to 213,000 for the week ended September 17 compared to market estimates of 218,000.
Stock trading UP
- ShiftPixy, Inc. PIXY Shares shot up 31% to $17.84. ShiftPixy announced the price of a $5 million private placement on Wednesday.
- shares of Albireo Pharma, Inc. ALBO got a boost and shot up 13% to $19.64. Albireo announced a $115 million royalty monetization agreement with Sagard.
- Virax Biolabs Group Limited VRAX Shares were also higher, up 12% to $3.39 after the company announced it has entered into a distribution agreement with Cosmos Holdings to commercialize monkeypox virus real-time PCR detection kits.
Stocks are trading down
- BYND Cannasoft Enterprises Inc. BCAN Shares fell 20% to $3.53. The company announced Monday that it has signed a stock purchase agreement to acquire 100% interest in Zigi Carmel Initiatives & Investments for $28 million in stock.
- shares of Nauticus Robotics, Inc. PUTTY down 17% to $5.29. Schlumberger BV recently announced a 15.5% passive stake in Nauticus Robotics.
- Steakholder Foods Ltd. STKH fell 15% to $2.15.

On commodities news, oil traded up 0.5% to $83.31, while gold traded up 0.4% to $1,681.50.
Silver was up 0.5% on Thursday at $19.57, while copper was up 0.4% at $3.4810.
