The webinar will be attended by KOLs Murray B. Stein, MD, MPH, FRCPC and Charlie Taylor, PhD, both from the University of California San Diego, who discuss the unmet medical need and current treatment landscape for social anxiety disorder (SAD) patients and Bionomics’ ongoing clinical development and Phase 2 study paradigm.
Bionomics Executive Chairman Errol B. De Souza, PhD, will provide an overview of its lead drug candidate BNC210, an oral, proprietary, selective, negative allosteric modulator of the α7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor that has received fast track designation from the FDA for the Has received acute treatment for SAD and other anxiety disorders. dr De Souza will also provide an update on the ongoing Phase 2 PREVAIL study in 150 patients for the acute treatment of SAD, which is currently aiming to provide top-line data by YY 2022. With its novel mechanism of action, BNC210 also has the potential to serve as a treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), which is being evaluated in an ongoing Phase 2b ATTUNE study, for which it was awarded Fast Track Designation.
