Apple, Inc AAPL The iPhone 14 could give the company a headache just weeks after its launch.
What happened: Apple is investigating a bug that may be causing this iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models freeze when transferring data from an older iPhone, MacRumors reported, citing an internal memo it had access to.
Apple reportedly said in the memo that it is aware of the issue and is investigating. The latest iteration of the high-end iPhone Models may freeze and become unresponsive during the “Quick Start” process after an iCloud restore or data transfer from the previous iPhone, it added.
As a workaround, Cupertino has asked iPhone users to restart the device if it stops responding for more than five minutes.
The report also found that iPhone 14 Pro customers faced a similar issue during device activation last week. As a workaround, an iOS 16.0.1 update must be installed after setting up the device, the publication added.
Why it matters: Apple’s flagship iPhones account for about half of the company’s sales. Early indications from pre-order stages show that the Recording, especially for the high-end iPhone 14 models, was strong.
