About 25.5% of U.S. electricity came from renewable energy sources in the first four months of 2022, with the April figure showing a better 29.3%, according to Clean Technica’s report. This represented an increase of 25.7% in April 2021.

Renewable energies rank second behind natural gas with a share of almost 35%. Coal and nuclear each accounted for around 17.8%. Among renewables, wind and solar generated more electricity than nuclear in April.
