
Former crime analyst becomes head of Michigan Cannabis Agency
Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency is get a new director after Andrew Brisbo, who resigned after having held the position since the state’s commercial and leisure market was launched in 2019. Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced on Thursday that it had been named Brian Hannah The acting director of the Cannabis Regulatory Agency reported to MLive.
He will take over the new position on Monday, September 19th.
“Hanna’s previous service with the Marijuana Regulatory Agency, now CRA, under former Executive Director Andrew Brisbo will ensure he continues the agency’s mission and ongoing work.” said a statement from the governor’s office. “Hanna served with the CRA for five years as the Manager of Field Operations, Inspections and Investigations.”
Previously, Hanna worked as a criminal intelligence manager and analyst for the Michigan State Police and as a Kalamazoo County Deputy Sheriff.
