On 7th of SeptemberPOSCO Holdings signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Samsung Engineering, Lotte Chemical, Sarawak Economic Development Corporation Energy and Malaysian Sarawak Energy to collaborate on the supply of renewable hydroelectric power for the H2biscus Green Hydrogen Project in Malaysia Sarawak.
This January, POSCO Holdings, Samsung Engineering and Lotte Chemical signed a memorandum of understanding with SEDC Energy to form a partnership for the Sarawak green hydrogen project. This time the signing of a new memorandum of understanding for the cooperation of the renewable energy supply with Sarawak Energy the Sarawak hydrogen project.
By signing the Memorandum of Understanding, the five parties have agreed to jointly research a stable power supply that will generate min. 900MW of power under the H2biscus project and review the preparations for substations, power lines and other infrastructure facilities. Based on the results of the joint research, the ongoing feasibility study will be completed by the end of 2027, which aims to start green H2 production.
