
US stocks ended higher on Monday ahead of long-awaited August inflation data.
Markets are awaiting data showing a moderation in US inflation. Analysts expect the annual inflation rate to fall to 8.1% in August, down from 8.5% in July. However, the core CPI could show a 6.1% increase from 5.9% in July.
The majority of traders still expect a 75 basis point rate hike at the next Fed meeting.

That Nasdaq100 up 1.20% to close at 12,739.72 on Monday during the S&P500 rose 1.06%. That Dow Jones jumped 230 points to 32,381.34 in the previous session.
All major sectors of the S&P 500 ended positively, with energy and information technology stocks posting the biggest gains on Monday.
