Former President donald trump’s attorney Chris Kiss is reportedly taking a more forgiving approach when it comes to the US Ministry of Justice‘s investigation into the search and seizure that took place at Mar-a-Lago.
What happened: Kise’s goal is for the government to avoid prosecution reported The Wall Street Journal cited people familiar with the matter.
The attorney has reportedly not discussed his strategy, but said the goal is to “find a rational solution to document storage problems that have gotten unnecessarily out of control.”
Kise said at a recent court hearing that the case was not about “some Defense Department official stuffing military secrets in a paper bag and sneaking out in the middle of the night.”
“These are, as I said, presidential records in the hands of the 45th President of the United States,” the Journal said.

The development is significant because Kise has both US Supreme Court and Florida Supreme Court experience.
