
A man in Virginia won $1 million on 20X The Money scratch card game last month.
At first he thought he had only won $600, but later found out the amount was a bit higher.
Jose Flores Velasquez from Annandale, Virginia, bought the ticket at a Safeway supermarket while picking up a case of sodas.

When he took the ticket to the Virginia Lottery Customer Service Center, he was told that he was one of the game’s top winners.
Flores Velasquez elected to take the one-time cash option totaling $759,878 pre-tax.

The store received a $10,000 bonus from the Virginia Lottery for selling the winning ticket.
According to the Virginia Lottery, there is another unclaimed grand prize for the instant scratch game, 20X The Money.
“He had the choice of taking the full price of $1 million over 30 years or a one-time pre-tax cash option of $759,878. He chose the cash option,” lottery officials said.
Earlier this year, a man from Charlottesville won $132,000 in two separate draws by purchasing 264 winning lottery tickets over a two month period.
