author and actor Talula Riley married Elon Musk twice – the first time from 2010 to 2012 and a second time from 2013 to 2016.
Riley, whose new dystopian novel The Quickening has just come out, has been reflecting on her relationship with the Tesla billionaire.
Recently in conversation with the Independentlythe author said she “understands that it seems strange” that she married Elon Musk twice.
Riley said: “I suppose the reason for getting married again was simply that being unmarried together felt silly after you got married. You know it’s like a habit. We said, ‘This is my husband.’ ‘This is my wife.’ ‘Oh wait, no, we’re not anymore. We better be that again.'”
Speaking about Musk’s children, she said she took a break from her career to take care of Musk’s five children from his first marriage to Justine Musk.

Musk recently shared a snap of him on Twitter with Riley at his 40th birthday party in Venice. Musk credited Riley with designing the dress, saying she’s a “party genius.”

While speaking about Musk, she complimented him, saying, “Elon was great. He had me by his side through all of this. So it wasn’t like I was stuck in a mansion in Bel Air like a trophy wife, which wouldn’t have been fun. Of course, I witnessed this for others. Luckily that wasn’t my destiny.”
Riley said she has a great relationship with Musk, with the two sharing an “intense love and connection.”
“He’s a great friend. He’s watching over me. We’re in a happy place now where we’re good to each other, which is nice. I have the greatest love for him,” she said.
