RARE(“Ultragenyx”), a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of novel products for serious rare and ultra-rare genetic diseases, and Mereo BioPharma Group plc MREO(“Mereo”), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on rare diseases and oncology, today announced that it has received additional data from the Phase 2b ASTEROID study of Mereo setrusumab (UX143) and Phase 2 information /3 concern orbit The study will be presented at the 2022 American Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR) Annual Meeting, being held September 9-12, 2022 in Austin, Texas. Setrusumab is an investigational monoclonal antibody for the treatment of osteogenesis imperfecta (OI), a rare disease affecting approximately 60,000 people in the US and Europe.
Ultragenyx will present the latest results from the previously presented ASTEROID study and an overview of the design of the ongoing global, seamless Phase 2/3 orbit learn at the meeting. Data will also be presented from the IMPACT survey, the largest data collection in OI and a joint research project between the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation (OIF) and the umbrella organization Osteogenesis Imperfecta Federation Europe (OIFE) and its members, supported by Mereo BioPharma.
