ELKHART, Indiana, Sept. 9, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — THOR Industries, Inc. THO today announced the resignation of Jim Ziemer from the Board of Directors effective October 1, 2022. After his departure, Mr. Ziemer will continue to act as an observer for the Management Board until the end of the 2022 calendar year. The retirement of Mr. Ziemer is consistent with the renewal plans of THOR’s board of directors and as the company added two new board members last year prior to this planned retirement, no further new board members are planned at this time.
Mr. Ziemer has dedicated most of his professional career to Harley-Davidson. He started as a freight elevator operator at Harley-Davidson in 1969 while attending college and joined the company’s accounting department after graduation. He became Harley-Davidson’s chief financial officer in 1990 and served as Harley-Davidson’s chief executive officer from 2005 to 2009. Mr. Ziemer joined THOR’s Board of Directors in 2010, where he served as Chairman of the Company’s Audit Committee from December 2011 to March 2022 and served on the Company’s Environmental, Social, Governance and Nominating Committees.
