
- Developer of battery swap refueling platforms Gogoro Inc GGR has started its battery swap System and Smart Scooter in the greater Tel Aviv area.
- In cooperation with Metro Motor and the Paz Group, the products will also be introduced in other cities in Israel in the future.
- Metro Motor is a two-wheeler distribution company in Israel and Paz Group is an energy, gas and retail group in Israel.
- The companies will open 10 battery swap stations and expect to deploy 35 battery swap stations by the end of 2022 and more than 150 stations within four years.
- “First, in times of congested roads, two-wheeled vehicles are traffic jammers. Second, this is a breakthrough that heralds the transition to smart and green transportation through a collaboration that will enable battery swapping at gas stations and make them places for alternative energy supply,” said Meital Lehavi, Deputy Mayor of Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality.
- Gogoro smart scooters feature intelligent vehicle technology and include features such as the Gogoro app and bio-authentication.
