- Hollysys Automation Technologies Ltd. HOLI rose 16.5% to close at $19.76. A consortium led by the management of China’s Hollysys Automation plans to privatize the US-listed automation and control systems manufacturer in a deal worth US$1.8 billion, Reuters reported.
- Aurora Innovations, Inc. AUR Gained 15.2% to close at $2.43 after the company’s CEO reportedly said an acquisition of either Apple or Microsoft was “potentially attractive”.
- Borr Drilling Limited BORR rose 12.6% to close at $4.46. Shares of several companies in the energy sector traded higher as investors await an OPEC+ meeting next week that could discuss an oil production cut.
- Smartsheet Inc. SMAR up 10.8% to close at $34.16 after the company reported better-than-expected second-quarter sales results.
- Cheetah Mobile Inc. CMCM Shares gained 10.5% to close at $3.70 after the 1-for-5 reverse split took effect.
- nCino, Inc. NCNO up 9.5% to close at $32.16 after the company reported better-than-expected second-quarter adjusted EPS and revenue results and issued better-than-estimates adjusted EPS and revenue guidance for Q3 and FY23.
- Helmerich & Payne, Inc. hp rose 8.5% to close at $44.45. Shares of several companies in the energy sector traded higher as investors await an OPEC+ meeting next week that could discuss an oil production cut. In addition, the G7 countries agreed on a plan to limit Russian oil prices.
- Guardant Health, Inc. GH rose 8.2% to $53.11.
