president Joe Biden tore up followers of his predecessor, donald trumpin a speech in Philadelphia on Thursday.
What happened: Biden’s Independence Hall speech contained harsh words for “MAGA Forces.” reported CNN.
“You don’t live in the light of truth, you live in the shadow of lies,” Biden said.
“As I stand here tonight, equality and democracy are under attack… We are doing ourselves a disservice by pretending it is otherwise.”
Biden reportedly said of Trump supporters, “MAGA forces are determined to push this country back. Back to an America where there is no right to choice, no right to privacy. No right to birth control, no right to marry who you love.”

Why it matters: Through his speech, Biden made an attempt to separate Republicans from Trump’s supporters. He said the latter “promote authoritarian leaders” and “stoke the flames of political violence,” according to the report.
The US leader reportedly said the Republican Party is “dominated, driven and intimidated” by Trump and his cronies.
“We have to be honest with each other and with ourselves: too much of what is happening in our country today is not normal,” Biden said, according to the report.
Trump responded to Biden’s speech by posting a picture of him kissing the US flag on Thursday truth sociala platform of Trump media and technology group (TMTG).
