HIGHLANDS, NJ, Aug. 17, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — As the days get shorter and summer comes to an end, many people are looking to enjoy the final weeks of the season by getting outside and taking advantage of the New Jersey shoreline take advantage of offer. Fortunately, the Twin Lights Ride is back on Saturday, September 17th, celebrating its 20th anniversary, bringing together nearly 3,000 riders from the Tri-State Area and beyond for a day of recreational biking, fun, and the best food in Highlands, NJ, bring together.
Named for the famous Navesink Twin Lights up the hill from Huddy Park in the Highlands, the Twin Lights Ride showcases the Garden State and remains a favorite with local cyclists and visitors from across the country. Five routes ranging from 15 to 100 miles follow the scenic Jersey coast, over rolling hills, past beautiful horse farms before ending at a finish festival where participants can snag a free t-shirt, commemorative medal and groceries from local vendors .
Regardless of which route riders choose, everyone can expect complimentary breakfast, fully serviced rest areas, live music, friendly staff and volunteers, bike rentals from Unlimited Biking, and more.
“If you’re looking for a perfect day out with friends and family, the Twin Lights Ride is a wonderful way to end the summer,” said Ken Podziba, President and CEO of Bike New York. “And we’re celebrating 20 years of bringing together local and out-of-town riders in New Jersey, so there’s going to be a big party at Huddy Park to greet the contestants when they’re done.”
There’s also a kids’ ride this year, giving little ones a chance to experience the Twin Lights Ride – just on a smaller scale. Bike New York will also be hosting a Learn to Ride class and craft activities for kids so local families and kids of all ages can join in the fun!
