Last month, the General Services Administration (GSA) awarded Silver Mountain Weston SB JV, LLC a Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to federal agencies throughout Geographical Zone A for the design and construction of electric vehicle charging stations Covering New England and the Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. The JV and team partners will conduct studies, planning, design, construction, commissioning and support services for EVSE systems in Zone A.
This award is one of the first GSA contracts to carry out the federal government’s mandate Design/construction conversion to electric vehicles in alignment with two new keys implementing regulations. Having served the federal government for over 20 years in the design, construction, routine maintenance and operation of fuel systems for federal vehicles, Weston has a proven ability to streamline enterprise-wide solutions at the national, regional and local levels. The JV is well positioned to work with the GSA and the federal government to install EVSE systems in a variety of environments in a timely and cost-effective manner. With this contract, and in anticipation of other state EVSE opportunities, Weston looks forward to assisting customers in their transition from traditional fueling to EVSE systems.
Weston and SMC work together under a formal SBA mentor-protégé relationship in which Weston provides developmental assistance to SMC, his protégé.
