Record numbers of Jeep enthusiasts are returning

Toledo, Ohio, Aug. 15, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Toledo, Ohio— The 2022 Toledo Jeep Fest, presented by Dana Incorporated and ProMedica, saw another record attendance this weekend. It is estimated that more than 70,000 people from 37 states as well as Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Netherlands attended.

The Grogan’s Towne & Charlie’s All-Jeep Parade was also the largest ever with over 1,400 Jeeps taking part in the event. Tourism experts are still calculating the economic impact of the event, but organizers expect economic activity to be well over $5 million spread across Northwest Ohio.

“This was our best event yet,” said Jerry Huber, former Jeep plant manager and Toledo Jeep Fest board member. “We’re celebrating our love for a vehicle, but the event is about the people who make Jeeps and the people who love them. There is no better place for that than the city where the jeep was invented and where its heart beats every day.”

In addition to the parade, the Vendor Midway was better than ever, with well-respected and sought-after vendors from across the United States. More than 70 vendors including Dana, Rancho, OMIX, Rock Krawler Suspension, Helltraxx, Mopar and Katzkin will stock the Yark Jeep Vendor Midway in downtown Toledo.

“When we speak to the vendors, they are delighted with their Toledo Jeep Fest experience. Customization is a big part of Jeep culture, and our visitors love to talk shop at the Vendor Midway,” said Huber.
