MONTREAL, Aug. 10, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Vélo Québec, the Association of Quebec Regional Parks, the Quebec Mountain Bike Alliance and the Association of Quebec Ski Resorts are joining forces today to release five video capsules on mountain bike safety, a Project made possible thanks to the financial support of the Government of Quebec. In a shared desire to promote trail best practices, this collaborative effort will bring a stronger message to more and more users.

This project aims to support managers in promoting mountain bike safety. The video capsules will be launched once a week for five weeks starting today Vélo Québec YouTube channel, as well as in the social media of the respective partners. Topics covered, in order of publication, are as follows:

• Capsule #1 – The Mountain Bike Code of Conduct
  Objective: Present the new code of conduct for mountain biking through communication and illustration of the various statements contained therein.

• Capsule #2 – Ride as a family
  Goal: Demonstrate how the whole family can be introduced to mountain biking.
  In the week of August 15th

• Capsule #3 – L’it ison the trail of ethics
  Objective: Advise users on best practices before, during and after returning from their excursion.
  In the week of August 22nd

• Capsule #4 – Electrically Assisted Bicycles (UAE)
  Objective: Define what an electrically assisted bike is and introduce the users of these bikes to courtesy on the trail.
