Groundbreaking ceremony for the Porsche Experience Center Toronto

TORONTO, ON, July 22, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Eight months after announcing plans to build its first and first-ever Porsche Experience Center (PEC), Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd. officially laid the groundwork for the project at a ceremony yesterday in front of a group of more than 100 participants, including city and provincial officials.

The tenth worldwide and third of its kind in North America after Atlanta and Los Angeles, the future Porsche Experience Center Toronto will be located on a 20-acre site in the Durham Live development in Pickering, Ontario. A casino and luxury hotel are currently in operation, and the site will include a concert venue and more than 400,000 square feet of retail space. The future PEC Toronto is scheduled to open in 2024.

This national and international tourist destination will feature a circuit of over 2 kilometers designed by Tilke Engineering to highlight the technological prowess of the Zuffenhausen brand’s two- and four-door sports cars in their ideal playground.
