Founded by Cortney Fletcher, eCom Babes is an online educational resource for women entrepreneurs. The six-week online course offers training materials to guide participants through the process of starting their own e-commerce business and giving them access to a community of fellow entrepreneurs on the same journey. Two years after joining this community and learning the principles of eCom Babes, mother-daughter duo Michelle and Sydney are making six figures every month while pursuing their dream of financial freedom.
Fletcher was introduced to the idea of entrepreneurship by her friends in college and knew immediately this path was for her. Through her own initial failures, she learned about the challenges and obstacles that prevent many from being successful in e-commerce. By overcoming her own obstacles, she learned how to navigate e-commerce and reduce the risks involved in starting an online boutique. The strategies she learned from starting her own business later flowed into the eCom Babes course and has been taught to thousands of women.
Many who start online shops fail quickly. Fletcher thinks this could be partly due to bad thinking. “A lot of eCom girls I speak to have limiting beliefs or self-doubt that sabotage their efforts,” Fletcher said. “Being successful requires an unwavering belief in yourself – that you will make it. You may not be sure how or when it will happen, but you are sure you can do it. That ‘I’ll win’ mentality is so important that it’s one of the first things we cover in the eCom Babes program.”
Mother-daughter team Michelle and Sydney adopted this mindset early on in their journey so they can persevere and find solutions when they hit bumps in the road. Having recently graduated from college, Sydney knew that starting her own business was the path she wanted to take.
