Come clean for the earth during the Great American Campout

RESTON, Va., June 27, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — To inspire Americans to camp green and get clean for the earth, the National Wildlife Federation is partnering with Johnson outdoors to start this year Big American Campout. The Great American Campout encourages people to get outside and connect with nature in meaningful and responsible ways. The aim is to leave no waste, leave no trace and pick up rubbish to protect the environment so that future generations can enjoy the great outdoors for years to come.

Picking up litter at campgrounds, on the trails and in the surrounding area is an easy way to camp responsibly. By taking the Clean Earth Challenge, participants become part of a large-scale operation to clean up the planet! The challenge is calling on millions of individuals, families, students, teachers, environmentalists and leaders to get outside and take simple conservation actions to improve the health of the planet by collecting 1 million pieces of trash.
