After the revival of the 2015 deal with the US and other countries, Iran will continue the Uranium enrichment to 20% purity after the lifting of sanctions. Iran was enriching Uranium to 60% before the current talks with the global powers.
The Head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Eslami, informed the lifting of sanctions and allowed the Uranium enrichment to 20% and 5%. The nuclear deal 2015 was signed by Iran with the US for Uranium enrichment to 3.67%. The deal allows Iran to enrich uranium to 20%. Iran’s government was enriching Uranium to 60% before making the deal. Iran is ready to end 20% and 60% enrichment programs after the successful revival of the 2015 agreement. Donald Trump withdrew America from the deal without discussion with other countries in 2018. Germany, France, China, and the UK criticized the US withdrawal from the deal. Iran faced serious sanctions in 2018 after the unilateral decision of Donald Trump.
Iran demands the world powers in Vienna to lift sanctions from the banking and oil trade sector. Iran also seeks the guarantee that the US will not withdraw from the deal unilaterally.
“Our negotiators… do their best to ensure the nation’s interests, and know that the final point is the lifting of all sanctions, especially on banking and trade,” Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami said at Friday prayers in Tehran.
“If these sanctions are not lifted, it is as if there were no talks,” state media quoted him as saying.
Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei will decide the final agreement about the nuclear deal. In Vienna, major countries are involved with Iran to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power. The US will lift the sanctions to limit the Iran Nuclear program. Iran is facing economic instability in the country due to sanctions.
A senior Iranian official has said that Iran has shown flexibility by agreeing to “inherent guarantees” that the US administration will not quit an agreement. Washington says President Joe Biden can’t provide the legal assurances Iran has demanded.
Iran stressed the US to lift all sanctions imposed on all sectors under the government of Donald Trump. The US imposed the restrictions due to Iran backing the rebellion Houthis, Hamas, and Hezbollah in different countries. Americans considered that Iran supplied these outfits with weapons against the country’s governments.
