If you are planning to change the color of your hair, consider postponing the change until the weather cools down in early or mid fall.

Protect your hair color.

Whether your hair is treated chemically or you are sporting your natural color, you’ve probably noticed that it gets lighter with more exposure to sunlight. While this can add dimension to your hair color, it can be damaging in excess. Additionally, chlorinated pool water and even saltwater can affect the keratin in your hair, altering its color and causing damage.

Taking care of your hair in the morning before you start the day and exposing your hair to sunlight is important, but it is also important to take care of your hair at night, which is when your body replenishes its resources and repairs itself.
