Videos of these Squid Game reincarnations inside Roblox have been seen on various platforms including TikTok, Twitter, and YouTube. If one heads over Roblox’s hub for game experiences, then you’ll find more than a few in the popular tab. Some of these just tackle the popular “Red Light Green Light” while others also feature other games shown in the popular Netflix series. Although almost all the games are lethal variations of the children’s games.
Roblox is a popular game creation platform that allows users to make and submit games that other Roblox users can play. One can think of Dreams, or the custom game era of StarCraft, and Warcraft. Popular YouTube channel People Make Games made a video about Roblox, what it is, why it’s popular, and also discussed some issues in this video.
It’s not surprising that Squid Games knockoffs have flooded Roblox as the setup is pretty much tailor-made and ideal for the social multiplayer game that would flourish on Roblox.
As someone who’s seen all of Squid Game and loved it, it’s funny to see people get their first experience of the show on a platform designed for user-generated content.
