If you ask what hair transplantation is, it is the process of transplanting the grafts obtained from the donor area between the two ears or from other parts of the body to the bald area with special methods.
Plantation operations in Turkey and the Turkish State and supervised by the Ministry of Health are performed according to specific standards. Detailed information about this process can be given as follows:
a) Before Hair Transplantation
b) Operation Process
c) After Hair Transplantation
We can examine it in 3 stages.
Hair Restoration in Turkey How? Which Stages Are There?
We can say the operation phase as the time from the moment you enter the hair transplantation centre to the moment you exit the operation. Some transplants may take a few days, depending on the number of grafts. In this narrative, we will talk about a one-day hair transplant process. Similarly, the process will be repeated in more than one day.
– Arrival and Welcome to the Hair Transplant Centre
– Operation Preparation Phase
– Hairline Design
– Hair Transplant (Surgical Stage)
– Ending and Departure from Centre
We will now examine these stages in detail.
Arrival and Welcoming to the Hair Transplant Centre
If you are coming from your hotel, operations such as physical examination history, questioning, and graft planning can be performed before transplantation. It is recommended to have a light breakfast before the operation if the transplantation will not be done with sedation. If you have any doubts about transplantation and any last questions, be sure to share with your doctor. Our doctor will also tell you everything about the process.
Pre-Planting Preparation Procedures
All clinics in Turkey and this operation process is controlled by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Health. These pre-operative tests are also required by the Ministry of Health and are considered very important in terms of patient health. Before Hair Transplantation, you will undergo some paramedic procedures as preparation. These are as follows, respectively
– Hair Transplant Consent Form
– Blood Pressure and Pulse Control
– Dressing a Surgical Gown
– Pre-Shave Photography
– Shaving the Hair Before transplantation
– Post-Shave Photography
Hairline Design
Hairline is one of the important parts of hair transplantation. To design a hairline suitable for the person’s facial structure, an artistic skill of the doctor is required. Because the hairline is very important for a natural hair transplant, an improperly designed hairline will make the person unhappy as a result. The hairline can be done before, after shaving, or before starting transplantation after the grafts are removed.
Hair Transplant Stages
After completing the preparation for the operation and hairline design, we are now moving on to hair transplantation. We can group the surgical stages of hair transplantation as follows. As an answer to the question of how to do hair transplantation, we can say two main groups as graft removal and graft transplantation.
1- Taking Hair Roots From The Donor Area
2- Hair Transplantation Stage
a) Marking the Donor Area with a Pencil
The boundaries of the donor area where the hair follicles will be taken are first drawn with a pencil. It is necessary to be especially careful in the area on the ear. In particular, care should be taken not to leave the areas we call safe areas. Let’s not forget that everyone has a number of grafts that can be taken according to their hair density. We can briefly call this donor capacity. It is not correct to get grafts above the donor capacity. The estimated number of grafts that can be taken should be calculated in advance. Nape area hair is generally used as the donor area. If the hair follicles are thought to be insufficient, other body hair such as beard and chest can also be used.
b) Anesthetizing the Donor Area with Local Anaesthesia
Local anaesthesia is used in hair transplantation. Some physicians who rarely take body hair have stated in the literature that they take root from the body under general anaesthesia. Local anaesthesia is the process of blocking the nerves that transmit pain sensations in the area to be harvested or planted for a certain period of time. The sensation of pain can be felt differently from person to person.
c) Taking Hair Follicles One by One
The area to be taken was marked and determined, and the hairy area was numbed, now we are at the stage of removing the hair follicles. There are two basic buying methods, FUT and FUE. We will explain the graft removal with the FUE method. The patient is placed in the hair transplant chair face down. Some doctors prefer to take grafts in a sitting position.
We divided the hair transplant stage into three groups as transplantation site anaesthesia, the opening of the canals, and placing the roots. This is the most curious subject of those who research how to do hair transplantation. FUT, FUE, or grafts taken from body hair are stored in Petri dishes before planting.
Placement of Hair Roots in Opened Channels
The duration of the channel opening process varies according to the number of grafts. In addition, a liquid called isotonic is given to the scalp in order to expand the opened channels and place the grafts more easily. It is this fluid that causes swelling after hair transplantation.
1-3 people take the hair follicles from Petri dishes and place them one by one with the help of forceps into the opened channels. It is the placement of single grafts in the front lines. This should be considered for natural hair transplantation and hairline. Generally, grafts placed on the gauze are kept on the back of the hand. Taking too many grafts on the back of the hand can cause the grafts to dry out. While holding the grafts with forceps, it is necessary not to hold the root part. Otherwise, the grafts will be crushed.
End of Operation and Departure from the Clinic
After the transplant, your hair is washed with a sterile isotonic spray. This is to remove clot residues. You may have pain at the end of the operation. Your doctor will resolve this situation. A bandage is wrapped around your head to put pressure on the neck area. Do not remove the bandage until washing.
After the transplant, your doctor will give you advice. It is highly recommended that you follow these recommendations. All clinics in hair transplant Turkey and this operation process is controlled by the Republic of Turkey, Ministry of Health.
