On September 14th, 2018, a premier blockchain event NEXT BLOCK Conference Sofia “Evolution Of Money” has been held by Krypton Events, in partnership with Cryptovest.
The event was supported by the world’s largest exchange in trade volumes OKEx, the world leader in global payments Paysafe and the leader for tracking capitalization of various cryptocurrencies CoinMarketCap.
NEXT BLOCK has gathered more than 300 participants from Bulgaria and all around the world – top-tier experts, investors and promising crypto startups. Sterlin Lujan has delivered a meaningful keynote speech “Cryptocurrency and the Psychological Evolution Of Money” on how cryptocurrency will disrupt the existing system of fiat money, taking us to the next stage of evolution.
“Cryptocurrency is the killer application for blockchain technology. It is the technology that we should be radicalizing for mass adoption,” he said.
At panel discussion “Digital Assets VS Physical Assets”, a serial fintech and crypto entrepreneur, Marc P. Bernegger pointed out, that end consumers do not have to know what is behind the application, service, or product they use on a daily basis as long as it brings value. This is the key to driving adoption on a mass scale and moving to the next more stage of industry development.
Furthermore, Yasen Yankov, an Engineering Manager at Paysafe Group, believes that we do not have to fight the regulators, we need to embrace regulation as that’s the only way towards a more mature industry.
“In order to have the mass adoption you need to have three things: the first is shared KYC all over the ecosystem, the second one, the shared payment method and payment gateways which connect fiats to crypto; and the third one there shouldn’t be a guy who is asking the question what was that crypto thing,” Mr. Yankov explained.
In addition, 9 teams have joined the Hackathon co-organized by Paysafe, and 3 of them have shared the praise pool of 10,000BGN and 10,000$ equivalent in IOTW tokens!
