HM King Mohammed VI arrived on Saturday, May 30, in Abidjan on a working and friendship visit to the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, the third leg in an African tour that took the sovereign to Senegal and Guinea-Bissau and that will wrap up with a visit to Gabon.

Upon arrival at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport, HM the King was received by Ivorian President Alassane Dramane Ouattara and his spouse Mme Dominique Ouattara.

The visit that HM King Mohammed VI is paying to Côte d’Ivoire mirrors the special cooperation relations between the two countries.

Aware of the pertinence of a mutually-beneficial south-south cooperation model, Côte d’Ivoire and Morocco are attaching utmost importance to stepping up their bilateral relations following the example of the friendship ties between their respective heads of state.

Côte d’Ivoire is recovering from a decade of crisis thanks to support of the international community and notably Morocco which spared no effort in bringing assistance to the Ivorian people.
