The Commanding General of the 3rd Cavalry Division, Major General Nitinai Pheemayothin ordered the Deputy Commanding General of the 3rd Cavalry Division Phadungkeart Prongjit and the soldiers to bring the blankets in the Royal Thai Army ‘s Cold Victim Assistance project for the people who suffers from cold weather in Nonlamthong district, Nonsila district, Namakua district, and Sahaskan district in Kalasin province.
Furthermore those who are affected are mostly elderly, children and persons with disability especially for those who live adjacent to the mountain affected when the temperature dropped down to 11 – 15 degress.
These blankets are particularly needed for people residing along the border region, where there is reportedly a short supply of winter clothing.
The soldiers and the members of Ban Kudsim-Kum Ka that is the foundation for the promotion of Supplementary Occupations and Related Techniques under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen handed the 300 sheets of blankets to the cold victims at Kao Wong district.
These people faced a very cold weather because the average temperature is below 15 degrees. The people who is elderly and cripple was bedridden due to the shortage of winter apparel.
