HM King Mohammed VI inaugurated on Thursday the launching ceremony of several industrial projects at the Jorf Lasfar platform.
These projects include the Jorf Lasfar industrial complex, the terminal station of the pipeline linking Khouribga to Jorf Lasfar, the first phosphoric acid plant supplied by phosphate pulp and a center for industrial competences totaling over 5.450 billion dirhams.
These projects shall also take in consideration the environmental dimension, adopting environmentally friendly processes that fall in line with sustainable development.
The Inauguration Of these projects In Jorf Lasfar was a major event that reflects a strategy of the Kingdom, future-oriented and designed to create a climate of confidence in a difficult international economic environment.
The policy of the Kingdom in the exploitation of phosphate confers a status of leadership in international markets, based on the refinement of skills and the creation of added value. This status will thus lead Morocco to assume the role of regulator of last resort in this area.
Thanks to projects like (El Jadida-Safi highway, landfills, chemical industrial park port Jorf Lasfar logistics and development of the merchant marine), Morocco has joined the ranks of emerging economies like Brazil, India, Pakistan and China.
Moroccan phosphate fertilizer grants to sub-Saharan countries and the promotion of ambitious industrial partnerships with Gabon (food security) illustrate the implementation of South-South diplomacy initiated by His Majesty the King.
