Charisma was started and founded by Mr. and Mrs. Whitaker, a loving married couple of 36 years. After raising 9 children they decided to combine each other’s love of arts and crafts into a beautiful, home decor company. Growing up neither Mr. or Mrs. Whitaker never thought they’d one day have their own business. Mr. Whitaker was born premature weighing only 1 pound and 15 ounces. He wasn’t expected to live and was deemed “The miracle baby” due to this miraculous birth. Mrs. Whitaker was born with several birth impediments including clef lip and club foot. During her childhood she was often teased and at times rather lonely. However, with the help of their children they were able to overcome their obstacles and create the gorgeous line of Charisma Home Decor.
Although a small and humble business Charisma has a modest fan base and following. Charisma was recently featured in the popular women owned blog “Welcome to the Motherhood.” Another successful blog that advertises Charisma is “Living Frugal with Erika.” Other publications the home decor company worked with are “Crafts N Things” magazine and a few local newspapers. When viewing Charisma’s social media pages such as Twitter, Pinterest and Facebook it’s evident to see the company’s growing popularity.
