The employees of CheapHumidors.com, along with non-profit Support the Troops, Inc. have joined forces to provide “Cigars for Troops.”
“Cigars for Troops” was created by David Sabot, owner of CheapHumidors.com, who recognizes the importance of supporting the men and women who sacrifice to protect our freedom. After learning that cigars are second only to coffee as the most requested item by troops overseas, the company sent over 1,000 cigars to soldiers last year. This year, the “Cigars for Troops” program was launched in order to triple that number in 2013.
CheapHumidors.com is partnering with Support the Troops, Inc. to assist their mission of sending care packages to soldiers stationed in the most remote corners of the earth where the closest stores are thousands of miles away. Support The Troops, Inc. sends out about 150-175 boxes each week with an average weight of 45-60 pounds to U.S. military units in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Qatar, and Kyrgyzstan. Accepting donations from all over the country, Support the Troops, Inc. runs with the help of hundreds of volunteers to achieve their mission.
Customers who want to donate can purchase the “Cigars for Troops” Relief Combo at CheapHumidors.com, which includes the Military Slang cigar line as well as the Black-Ops, crush-proof travel humidor. As a thank you to customers who participate, CheapHumidors.com is providing a free Cigar Caddy 2-stick Clip for every Relief Combo purchased. The company’s first batch of 30 Relief Combos was mailed out to Marine Special Forces in February.
CheapHumidors.com provides a suggest a soldier option on their site, where family members and friends who have a loved one serving overseas can request a donation sent directly to them. For those who do not want to purchase the relief combo, the company is also accepting cash donations, 100 percent of which goes directly to Support the Troops, Inc.
“When we learned about the incredible care packages Support the Troops, Inc. provided for our troops overseas, we knew we had to get involved and support their cause,” said David Sabot. “Working with this organization has been extremely rewarding, and our company is very excited to help the men and women in the United States military by providing them some of the comforts of home. “
