California Diesel & Power Announces Management Changes!

01/24/2013 (press release: owen@gotpower.com) // Northern California, CA, United States // Lisa Carter GM Lisa@gotpower.com

California Diesel & Power has announced a change in the management of the company. While their parents and founders, Charles (Chuck) and Jannett Uischner, having announced their scaling back from active duty and having been at the helm for the past many years, children Jill Collaro and Donald Uischner are now moving into larger leadership roles.

The company was founded by Charles (Chuck) Uischner some 25 plus years ago. It was founded on the principles of integrity and perseverance. Although it started out as a simple truck repair shop, no job was too big or too small for the newly formed company to take on. This willingness to stretch his intellect, capabilities and his fortitude, has served him well with the longevity and reputation the business has now garnered. The company has always had a family owned company feel to it. Chuck always believed that the key to success would be to have employees that felt like they were representing the company like they owned a share of it. Chuck perceived his employees as his greatest asset and he always treated them that way. A good wage, a sense of belonging, open communications and surrounding himself with very talented management propelled the business to levels he had only dreamed of. Jill and Donald have participated in this for many years now and are intent on keeping it that way.

The company has seen some great growth spurts over these last years. From the Diesel repair business, the company decided to add a generator repair, rental, sales and installation division. It was from this point, by hooking up with the rapidly expanding telecom businesses that the company began to grow by leaps and bounds. Jill and Donald are inheriting a business that seems to be just in its’ prime now and they have had a lot to do with its past and present success. Jill has been with the company for over 20 years and Donald is making great strides in the management of new major accounts.

According to daughter Jill, Chuck and Jannett will continue to play an important part in the further growth and development of the company, and that business will continue as usual, meaning the company stands ready to continue to offer their customers assistance with their generator, transfer switch, equipment and truck needs. “Whether it is a generator rental, a turnkey generator installation or emergency service on their generator, equipment or truck, we’re here to supply them with the finest factory trained personnel,” assures Ms. Jill Collaro.

The day to day operations are managed by a team that has been at Cal Diesel for a combined total of 50 years. Jill Collaro is assuming the role of President and Donald Uischner is assuming the role of VP in charge of major accounts. Lisa Carter is the General Manager and manages all department heads and navigates direction with a clear and precise business strategy. Rob Nanney is the Service Manager and oversees all things related to service and rental. Cal Diesel currently employs 35 talented people with field and shop service, sales and rental capabilities.
