Individuals and businesses which need to get packages to UK destinations in a hurry can now do so at the click of a button, thanks to Parcel2Go’s new range of rapid delivery services.
The Bolton-based firm has made three same-day delivery services available through its website, all designed to offer great value to business and residential customers with packages which need to be shipped urgently.
Options for the delivery of small, large and extra-large consignments are currently available through the site, all of which are handled by one of the UK’s leading courier companies, CitySprint. Customers can arrange for packages to be collected during a one-hour slot between the hours of 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. The delivery will be made the same day, but due to the rapid nature of the service, a precise delivery time cannot be specified.
“There are times when tomorrow simply isn’t quick enough, and Parcel2Go same day delivery services are designed for just those situations,” said Richard Mercer, marketing director at Parcel2Go.
“We’re really excited to be able to offer these three low-cost same-day delivery options and expect them to be a hit with our customers. We wanted the kind of affordable solution that Parcel2Go has become known for, as well as a fast service that customers could rely on. These new parcel delivery options provided by CitySprint tick both of those boxes.”
With parcels of an urgent nature, there is a good chance that the contents will be valuable, which is why on top of Parcel2Go’s standard £50 compensation cover which is included free of charge, there is the option to upgrade to a higher level of cover – up to £2,500. Online parcel tracking is available as usual.
Parcels being sent using the small van delivery service must not be longer than 1.52 metres or weigh more than 660kg. To qualify for the large van delivery option, consignments must be no longer than 3.4 metres and weigh 1,576kg or less. The extra-large van delivery service has a maximum parcel length of 4.7 metres and an upper weight limit of 1,628kg.
