/EINPresswire.com/ The year 2012 brings an important anniversary for successful businessman Matthew Markin. As of this summer, he’s proud to announce that he’s served as an executive for public companies for over 10 years.
The career of Matthew Markin got off to an auspicious start. He obtained two graduate degrees in the sciences, and almost immediately began working in the resource exploration business.
“I had always been fascinated by nature and how the layers of the Earth had come together, but I was also very intrigued by the business world,” says Matthew Markin. “I knew a job in the hard sciences wouldn’t be right for me, as it wouldn’t allow me to explore the business side of my nature. I was thrilled to find resource companies who were looking for executives, as I knew this would provide me with the best opportunity to match my skills with the needs of companies I would work for.”
Early in his career, Matthew Markin worked for Canyon Financial Group, an investment banking firm. It was a rewarding job, but he wanted to get back to the science-based industry that he loved.
“When I was provided with the opportunity to join a company involved in mining, I just jumped at the chance,” he says. “I felt it would really be the best job for me, and since that time, I really haven’t looked back.”
During his career, Matthew Markin has worked for Stealth Resources, Nugget Resources, Intercontinental Resources and Anglotajik Minerals. He held various leadership positions within these firms, helping to guide policy and ensure profitability.
“I have always tried hard to deliver value for the companies I work for,” says Matthew Markin. “I tend to put in long hours, and I’m known for giving each project my complete attention, all of the time. These are the sorts of attributes companies expect of their officers, and I’ve always tried to exceed expectations.”
Matthew Markin is currently serving as President of Markin Capital Group. He is also serving as President of U.S. Tungsten Corporation.
