08/23/2012 (press release: OnlinePR) // WageDayAdvance
Leading payday loans provider WageDayAdvance recently began the foray into social media, setting up its own Facebook page & Twitter account to connect with customers and potential customers, and has become very popular on both social networks in a short space of time.
WageDayAdvance kicked off their social media campaign by offering a £1,000 cash prize for those who became a Facebook fan, and answered a simple Olympic-themed question.
All those who liked their page and answered the question correctly were automatically entered into the competition to win £1,000.
The winner, Lynn Lewer, said, “I could not believe it when I had an email from WageDayAdvance saying I had won £1,000 from their competition. Luckily I didn’t have to wait very long for it to be confirmed as the money was in my account a couple of hours after them receiving my details – still can’t believe how lucky I have been”.
And now WageDayAdvance offer fans the chance to win £75 twice a week by running weekly quizzes, which are based on general knowledge questions. You can take a look at them here – http://www.facebook.com/WageDayAdvance/app_166326770166753
Along with their Facebook page, WageDayAdvance have set up a Twitter account and launched a weekly prize draw, offering followers the chance to win £150 cash every week. This weekly prize draw has proven to be very popular, with over 700 people tweeting about the competition every week, which has built up great buzz around the company.
Since creating a social media presence on both networks, WageDayAdvance have managed to gain 3,000 fans in less than two months, and 1,200 followers on Twitter, which is a big achievement for a payday loans company – considering there have been no paid adverts to grow the fanbase.
As well as running regular competitions, WageDayAdvance base a lot of their content on humour, to keep their audience entertained and engaged.
“We have been overwhelmed by the response we have had on our social media accounts. We wanted to keep things fun and light-hearted, so we ensure that all of our content provides some sort of entertainment for our fans and followers”, said Ross Chapman, Marketing Director at WageDayAdvance.
“So not only do we provide regular competitions and prize draws, but we love to tweet witty quotes, link to entertaining articles and post engaging, funny photos to entertain our fans”.
