The Book People have received positive sales figures following its release of the Orange Prize for Fiction Shortlist 2012 book collection.

The bookseller is a hit with the UK public, being one of the most popular online bookshops selling great books for kids, fiction and a range of other book genres. The store already has a strong following via its website, mail order catalogue and book distributors, which are able to deliver books to workplaces, schools, hospitals and many other locations. The Book People has also recently revealed that its recent Orange Prize for Fiction Shortlist 2012 collection has been a firm favourite with customers.

As the collection’s title infers, it contains all of the shortlisted authors for the Orange Prize for Fiction this year, which included ‘Half Blood Blues’ by Esi Edugyan, ‘Forgotten Waltz’ by Anne Enright, ‘Foreign Bodies’ by Cynthia Ozick, ‘Painter of Silence’ by Georgina Harding, ‘State of Wonder’ by Ann Patchett and ‘Song of Achilles’ by Madeline Miller, who won the award.

Emma Whyman of the Book People, said: “The Orange Prize for Fiction 2012 collection has been one of our bestselling collections as of late, and it just goes to show how exceptional the authors whose works were contained within it really are.

“We always do everything we can to support writing awards and prizes such as this one and we are happy that our collection will have given people a chance to read these authors’ works for the first time.”

To the Book People’s knowledge, no other online bookseller has offered such a collection of cheap fiction, with all of the books available in one purchase. Also, the Book People offered the collection of six books for just £20.00, which gives a huge £27.94 saving off the RRP of £47.94.
