Leading supermarket The Co-operative has released the second issue of its popular Co-operative Food magazine, which features excellent recipes for the summer season and a range of ideas for celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee next month.
The May/June issue of The Co-operative Food magazine is out now and can be viewed online or picked up from selected nationwide stores. The magazine, which is designed to provide people with simple and easy-to-follow recipes, contains something for everyone, from summer party ideas to holiday ideas for 2012.
Recipe ideas in the new magazine include healthy, low-priced – so those working to a strict budget will be able to work their magic in the kitchen. Even those with families to feed will be able to benefit from the recipes, as many of them are child-friendly and parents won’t have any problems in getting the kids to finish their vegetables.
You can expect to find recipes such as cherry tomato pasta bake, fruity couscous, homemade houmous, and a whole host of party-ready meals that you can serve up at your Jubilee garden party or Euro 2012 celebration. Recipes to try for parties include The Co-operative’s asparagus tart, jellies with jewels and diamonds, and its quintessentially British fruit scones. There are also a few delicious recipes for puddings that you can indulge in, such as the luxurious fruit and nut chocolate brownie recipe.
The magazine is also packed with money-saving ideas for food shopping, tips for keeping your pets healthy and happy this summer and information on eco-friendly and charity causes you can support when shopping with The Co-operative.
The Co-operative Food magazine is free and the online version comes with additional interactive content, such as videos to go along with the recipes to make following them even easier.
