Local Doctor Competes In ‘Idol’ Style Walmart Contest

/EINPresswire.com/ Local, mom-owned small business Naturopathic Alternatives is excited to announce its participation in Walmart’s ‘Get on the Shelf’ contest. Their product, Colic Care, is the first, all-natural, dietary supplement that provides long-term relief for infant fussiness and gas.

Mom-and locally-owned small business Naturopathic Alternatives is excited to announce its participation in Walmart’s ‘Get on the Shelf’ contest. Their product, Colic Care, is the first, all-natural, dietary supplement that can provide long-term relief for infant fussiness and gas. Similar to popular shows like American Idol, the public votes daily for their favorite product by text and through Facebook. The winner receives a spot on Walmart shelves and three runners-up will be sold on Walmart.com.

“What a huge opportunity this is to get in with fellow locally -owned Walmart! The products that are currently on the market for colic do nothing for long term relief and some contain ingredients that are not the best choice for infants”, says CMO Dr. Tara Hickman, “this contest allows smaller companies the chance to get their products to a wider audience.”

Venky Harinarayan, senior vice president of Walmart Global e-commerce, said in a press release. “For a long time, the ability to get a product into a retail store was at the sole discretion of the store buyer. Today, we are removing these barriers by giving anyone a chance to launch their product at Walmart and reach millions of shoppers nationwide.”

Colic Care is a combination of traditional ingredients usually found in gripe water blends, but has the added benefit of probiotics — friendly bacteria that can support the normal development of a baby’s digestive system. Current products on the market only help with symptoms, without addressing possible underlying issues for fussiness. Colic Care can help provide long-term improvement, something that no other product offers.

Walmart accepted submissions until February 22nd and online voting began on March 7th and ends on April 3rd. Help Colic Care get on shelf:
www.getontheshelf.com/product/4524/Colic-Care or Text Message 4524 to 383838. You can vote both ways everyday until April 3rd.
